Visualizing is an extremely useful tool in manifesting you goals. It helps you understand exactly what you want, and it lets those feelings bubble to the surface to make an even bigger impact on your manifestation.
There are a few tricks to visualizing to get the most out of your experience. I’ve compiled 7 steps to using visualization to help you manifest.
How to Use Visualization to Manifest your Goals
Step 1: Write down and visualize your goals
This is the first step in visualization and unfortunately where most people call it quits. But writing down and visualizing you goals isn’t enough.
For this step, I recommend jotting down your goals in explicit detail. Being specific is really important in the visualizations process.
In your visualization:
What are you wearing?
Where are you located?
What do you see?
Who is with you?
BE SPECIFIC. I want to close your eyes and actually see that goal coming true. Pay attention to every little detail and make a movie in your mind.
When you can close your eyes and see it happening, you’re telling your subconscious brain that it CAN happen, and that it WILL happen.
Another way you can do this if you want to manifest your dream life, is to run through in your mind the perfect day.
How does it start?
Where do you wake up?
Who are you with?
What’s the first thing you do?
Then what do you do?
Run through your entire day in your mind. Then write it down in as much detail as possible.
It’s important to keep in mind that manifestation works on selfless goals and ambitions. If your goals are focused around greed, there is less of a chance that they will be manifested.
Try putting a positive spin on your goals, and focus on what you would do with your newfound wealth/success/power/etc. For example, if your goal is to travel, maybe it’s so that you can be more open-minded towards others having seen the diversity in the world.
Maybe you want more money so that you can give your kids the lifestyle they deserve.
Maybe you want to be successful so that you can use your influence to make a positive difference in the world.
Step 2: Feel the Emotions Attached to Achieving those Goals
While your visualizing your dream day or achieving you goals, allow yourself to feel how it would feel to do it.
What would it feel like it right now, you achieved your goal?
How would you feel waking up to your dream life?
Probably excitement, and joy, and pride. Allow those feeling to happen. Let your emotions show on your face, don’t be scared to smile or laugh.
The stronger you can feel those emotions, the better. This goes a long way in the manifestation process.
Step 3: Use Mantras to Enhance your Visualization
Mantras are a great way to enhance your visualization process. Some people don’t believe in them, and that’s fine, but here’s why I do.
Your beliefs shape your reality. Before you do anything, you first believe that you can. Your thoughts become your thoughts, your thoughts become your words, your words become your actions, your actions become your habits and your habits shape your reality.
Limiting beliefs are almost always the thing that’s holding us back. Maybe we believe that we don’t deserve to achieve our goals, or we’re not good enough to live our dream life.
Mantras help reverse those limiting beliefs.
If you don’t believe you will ever be successful, you won’t. But if every day, while you imagine your dream life, you tell yourself that you are successful, at some point your subconscious mind will start to believe you.
And as those positive beliefs trickle down into actions, you start to see that you are successful.
Specialize your mantras for your specific goals or dreams. When saying your mantras, speak as if you already are. Here are a few to get you going in the right direction.
I am successful
I am fit and healthy
I am making a positive difference
I deserve to be successful
I attract money
Money flows to me easily
I have abundance
I have an abundance of _______ (love/happiness/support/strength)
Step 4: Visualize Daily but Don’t Obsess
A super important step in visualization is to do it daily. Lots of successful business men and women use visualization in the morning as part of their morning routine.
It’s best to do this each day when you can be in quiet by yourself, without distraction, and before opening your phone.
Another great way to use visualization is with a vision board. You can get some inspiration from my vision board and learn the techniques around using a vision board on this post.
A vision board will help you remember to visualize daily and will be another way of your goals into your subconscious.
Once you’ve visualized and used your mantras for the day, let it go.
Don’t obsess and visualize all day, once in the morning is really all it takes. If you’re tired of feel like your forcing the visualization, stop. It should come easy and flow without forcing it.
Step 5: Take Massive Action
The last part of visualization and a part that most skeptics aren’t even aware of is TAKING ACTION.
If you thought you could just think your goals into fruition, you are sadly mistaken. Visualization is part of the process and taking action is the other part.
Your goals won’t work unless you do, so get off your butt and so something towards your goals. Take consistent action and you will see great rewards.
Remember, your beliefs trickle down into your actions and your actions create your habits. Your dream life is created by doing the right actions that create the right habits.
Go get ‘em!
