The Chronic Pain Protocol is a science-backed approach to healing chronic pain.
In this process, we will use a blend of Hypnotherapy and Pain Reprocessing Therapy (PRT) to release the root-cause and retrain the brain to interpret and respond differently to pain signals from the body.

THE GOAL IS to Eliminate pain
The focus is not on pain management, it's on pain elimination.
My approach is to use Hypnotherapy to access deeper parts of the subconscious mind and release the emotional root-cause so that your body can move out of a state of chronic pain and create a healing environment.
Once we have resolved the cause of the pain, we use Pain Reprocessing Therapy to train your brain to reinterpret signals from the body and break the pain cycle.
BACKED BY SCIENCE
A randomized controlled study at the University of Colorado Boulder validated Pain Reprocessing Therapy as the most effective current treatment for chronic pain.
In the study, there were 100 chronic back pain patients. Half of them received PRT twice a week for four weeks, and half of them received treatment as usual. In the PRT group, 98% of patients improved and 66% of patients were pain-free or nearly pain-free at the end of treatment.

Pain Reprocessing Therapy (PRT) is a system of psychological techniques that retrains the brain to interpret and respond to signals from the body properly, subsequently breaking the cycle of chronic pain.
Pain Reprocessing Therapy has five main components:
Education about the brain origins and reversibility of pain,
Gathering and reinforcing personalized evidence for the brain origins and reversibility of pain,
Attending to and appraising pain sensations through a lens of safety,
Addressing other emotional threats,
Gravitating to positive feelings and sensations.

I was diagnosed with chronic fatigue syndrome in 2019 and fibromyalgia in 2020. I was at the end of my tether with the complexity and unpredictability of the symptoms and flare ups. It was impeding every aspect of my life, sometimes I didn’t have the energy to shower, eat or talk! I had extensive absence from work and I ended up giving up my 7 year career.
I contacted Katie and a signed up for her Chronic Healing 1:1 programme, I had tried medication, acupuncture, pain, sleep and chronic fatigue clinics but was left to self manage because they are ‘chronic long-term conditions’. I felt like the hewing programme was the only option and had nothing to lose but so much to possibly gain- even if I was 10% improved at the end of it.
